Privacy Policy

RiverCall is a mobile application developed and maintained by Lukáš Andrlík. This policy explains what information is processed when using the RiverCall application and website (https://rivercall.info).

1. Information Processed

1.1 Location Data

If enabled, location permission is used locally on your device to display maps and nearby river sections. Location data is processed on-device and is never transmitted to or stored on RiverCall servers.

1.2 On-Device Data

Application settings, preferences, and saved favorites are stored locally on your device (Room database / DataStore) and are not uploaded to remote servers.

1.3 Technical Network Data & Third-Party Services

RiverCall does not require user accounts. When using the app, technical network data (such as IP address and request metadata) is processed by the following services:

Rivermap API: Fetches public river information and gauge measurements (see River Data Source).
OpenFreeMap & OpenStreetMap: Serves map tiles and geographic data (see Map Data).
Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized crash diagnostics to improve app stability.
Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects anonymous usage events to improve app functionality.

2. Data Retention & Account Deletion

RiverCall does not maintain remote user accounts or user profiles. Local application data can be removed at any time by clearing application storage or uninstalling the app.

Under applicable laws (including the GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of any personal data. Since RiverCall stores no remote user profiles, data resides on your device.
