RiverCall retrieves public river information, whitewater section details, and water gauge measurements powered by the Rivermap API.

About Rivermap

Rivermap is an open platform that aggregates hydrological data and whitewater section information across European rivers.

The data provided includes:

• River Sections: Section names, difficulty grades, lengths, vertical drops, and coordinates.
• Gauge Calibration: Low Water (LW), Medium Water (MW), and High Water (HW) threshold calibrations.
• Water Level Measurements: Real-time and historical water gauge readings (water level height and flow rate).

Data Sources & Accuracy

Water level data and gauge measurements are collected from official national hydrological services and community contributions via Rivermap.

While we strive to display timely and accurate information, water levels and river conditions change rapidly. Measurements are intended for informational and trip-planning purposes. Always assess river conditions on-site and exercise safety precautions.

Privacy & Communication

When the application fetches river data and gauge measurements, standard network requests are made to the API servers. No personal user profiles or location data are stored or shared as part of these requests.
